Opening an account under XM Global gives you access to the Deposit Trading Bonus Scheme. Every time you deposit, XM tops up your trading capital with bonus funds, up to a ceiling of $5,000 across the lifetime of your account. It's trading credit rather than cash. But it works as extra buying power on every position you open.

The structure is two-tiered. You get a 50% bonus on your first $1,000 deposited, which caps at $500 on that tier. Anything above that earns a 20% bonus, up to a further $4,500. Simple enough once you see it laid out.

To qualify, XM want you to come in through one of the specific partner websites or social media promotions running the scheme. That's where our code 9DRRW fits in. Enter it during registration and you're tagged as eligible for the bonus. Without a partner code, the offer may not be available to you at all.

Quick summary: XM's Deposit Trading Bonus gives you up to $5,000 in trading credit across the lifetime of your account. It runs through XM Global, so it applies to clients registered outside the EU and UK only. Enter partner code 9DRRW during sign-up to qualify.

Bonus Calculation Table

These are the exact examples from XM's official bonus programme terms (PDF). Work through the row that matches your planned deposit size.

Your Deposit Bonus Applied Your Bonus Trading Capital
$550% on $5$2.50$7.50
$1,00050% on $1,000$500$1,500
$2,00050% on $1,000 + 20% on $1,000$500 + $200 = $700$2,700
$5,00050% on $1,000 + 20% on $4,000$500 + $800 = $1,300$6,300
$10,00050% on $1,000 + 20% on $9,000$500 + $1,800 = $2,300$12,300
$20,00050% on $1,000 + 20% on $19,000$500 + $3,800 = $4,300$24,300
$23,50050% on $1,000 + 20% on $22,500$500 + $4,500 = $5,000$28,500

You don't have to deposit $23,500 in one hit. The bonus accumulates across deposits until you reach the $5,000 cap. Bonus funds usually land in your account within 24 hours of each deposit.

Who Can Claim the Bonus

XM set out a handful of eligibility conditions in the bonus terms. Worth a read before you register.

  • You're registering under XM Global, the entity serving clients outside the EU and UK.
  • You're 18 or older, or of legal age in your country of residence.
  • You signed up through one of the specific partner websites or social media promotions XM uses for the scheme. Our code 9DRRW covers this.
  • The promotion can be redeemed once per client. No repeats.
  • Family members, or multiple accounts sharing the same IP address, are blocked under the anti-abuse rules.
  • People associated with XM, or with the partner websites and social media channels running the promotion, can't participate.

How Withdrawals Affect the Bonus

This is the bit that catches people out, so let's cover it properly. Any withdrawal you make reduces the bonus by the same percentage of your balance you took out. Pull 25% of your balance and 25% of the bonus disappears with it.

XM publish four worked examples in their terms. Here are the three clearest:

Scenario Deposit Bonus You Withdraw Bonus Removed
Partial withdrawal $1,000 $500 $250 (25% of balance) $125 (25% of bonus)
Half withdrawal $2,000 $700 $1,000 (50% of balance) $350 (50% of bonus)
Full withdrawal after profit $1,000 + $2,000 profit $500 $3,000 (100% of balance) $500 (100% of bonus)

So if your plan is to deposit, trade profitably and withdraw, the bonus itself dissolves on the way out. The profits stay with you. That's the point. Bonus credit is there to give your position sizing a bit more weight while you trade, not to walk out the door with you.

The Small Print Worth Knowing

Read this before depositing:

  • Bonus credits can take up to 24 hours to land in your account after a deposit.
  • If your account goes dormant, all previously awarded bonuses are removed immediately.
  • You can opt out of the bonus scheme at any time by emailing nobonus@xm.com.
  • Internal transfers between XM accounts move bonuses proportionally. If you transfer to an account that isn't eligible for the scheme, the transferred portion of the bonus is nullified.
  • Bonuses can't be transferred separately from your balance, and no partner commissions are paid on trading that runs off bonus funds.
  • If XM suspect arbitrage, manipulation or trading that looks aimed only at extracting the bonus, they can cancel bonuses, close positions and suspend accounts.
  • The bonus scheme is governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus.

The Role of Partner Code 9DRRW

XM's own terms are specific on this point. The Deposit Trading Bonus Scheme is offered to clients "referred to XM via specific websites and/or social network sites". Translated: you need to arrive through an eligible partner.

That's what our code 9DRRW does. Enter it during registration and you're tagged as an eligible referral under XM Global. The code costs you nothing. It doesn't change your spreads, commissions or any other account conditions. What it does is put you in the pool that qualifies for the bonus scheme.

How to Enter the XM Partner Code

The sign-up flow is quick. But you have to enter the code during registration because there's no way to add it afterwards. So this part matters.

1

Copy the partner code

Copy the partner code: 9DRRW Copied! You will need it in a moment.

2

Open the XM registration page

Head to the XM website and click Get Started to begin creating your account.

3

Fill in your country, email and password

The sign-up form asks for your country of residence, your email address and a password. If your country sits inside the EU or UK, XM will route you to a different entity and the bonus won't apply.

4

Enter the partner code

At the bottom of the form you will see a line that reads "Have a Partner Code? Enter here". Click "enter here", paste 9DRRW, and move on.

5

Hit Register

With email, password and partner code in place, click Register to submit the form.

6

Verify your email

Open your inbox, find the email from XM and click the verification link to activate your account. Done.

Why We Can Offer This

We work directly with XM. That's how we ended up with the 9DRRW code in the first place, and it's why we can verify what's actually on offer before publishing anything here. When XM's promotions change, we update this page. When they end, we say so.

I'll admit, it would be easier to promise the moon and not bother checking the fine print. You see plenty of sites doing exactly that. If a bonus has rules attached, we say what they are. If something depends on your country of residence, we say that too. We'd rather give you the honest version and lose the click than pretend the offer is bigger than it is.

In short

If you use 9DRRW during sign-up, you're supporting a project built on transparency. And we genuinely appreciate it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I eligible for this bonus?

The Deposit Trading Bonus Scheme runs through XM Global, which services clients outside the European Union and the United Kingdom. If you're based in an EU country or the UK, XM routes you to its CySEC or FCA entity instead, and this promotion doesn't apply to those accounts.

How much bonus can I receive in total?

Up to $5,000 across the lifetime of your account. That's $500 on the 50% tier (your first $1,000 deposited) plus $4,500 on the 20% tier (all deposits above that).

Is there a minimum deposit?

The bonus terms don't set a separate minimum. XM's example table starts at $5, which gives you $2.50 in bonus funds. $5 is also the standard minimum deposit at XM.

Can I withdraw the bonus itself?

No. The bonus is trading credit only. Any profits you make trading with it are fully withdrawable, but the bonus funds themselves stay in the account.

Can I get the bonus more than once?

No. The promotion can be redeemed once per eligible client.

What happens to the bonus if I withdraw part of my balance?

It's reduced proportionally. Withdraw 25% of your balance and XM removes 25% of the bonus at the same time. Withdraw everything and the bonus goes with it.

What if my account becomes dormant?

Any bonus funds previously credited to the account are removed immediately once the account is flagged as dormant. Worth keeping in mind if you plan to pause trading for long stretches.

Can I opt out of the bonus scheme?

Yes. Send a request to nobonus@xm.com and the XM team will remove you from the scheme.

Do I have to enter the partner code to qualify?

Under XM's own terms, the scheme is offered to clients referred via a specific partner website. Entering 9DRRW during sign-up marks you as referred. Without a partner code, the bonus may not be available to you.

What happens if I forget to enter 9DRRW during sign-up?

The partner code can only be entered during account registration. There's no way to add it afterwards, and XM support won't apply it retroactively to an existing account.

If XM Global isn't the right fit for you (say you're based in the EU or UK), it's worth a look at other brokers we cover. Each page lists the current offer, who qualifies, and the exact partner code you need.
