Trading has been part of my life for close to twenty years now. I picked it up in my mid-twenties after a friend got me curious about the share market, and what started as a side interest gradually turned into something much bigger. Along the way, I've opened accounts with more brokers than I can count, and I've learned a thing or two about where the real costs hide.

One thing that kept coming up was promotional offers. Sign-up bonuses, fee discounts, referral credits. Most brokers run them, but they're not always easy to find, and the terms aren't always obvious. I got into the habit of tracking them down before opening any new account, and over time I realised that's a skill not many traders bother with.

Why this site exists

The honest answer? Because I kept seeing people leave money on the table. Someone would ask me about a broker, I'd mention there was a promo code that would have saved them on commissions, and the response was always the same: "I had no idea that existed." It happened often enough that it started to bother me.

Finding reliable promo codes for brokers is surprisingly frustrating. Half the codes floating around online are expired. Others come with conditions buried in the fine print. And some are tied to platforms that probably shouldn't be trusted in the first place. There was no single place where a trader could go, check what offers were actually live, and trust that the information was accurate.

TradingPromoCodes was built to fix that. Every offer on this site is verified before it goes up. I read through the terms, test the codes where I can, and pull anything that's expired or misleading. The site is aimed at traders globally, whether you're based in Europe, Asia, Australia or anywhere else. If there's a legitimate promo code from a regulated broker, the aim is to have it here.

When I'm not researching promo codes

Melbourne is home and always has been, apart from a year I spent in London on an exchange programme during uni. That was a great experience, but it also confirmed that I'm very much a warm-weather person. I used to travel a lot in my twenties and thirties, bouncing around Southeast Asia and Europe whenever I had the chance. These days life has settled down a bit. Most weekends you'll find me in the water, attempting to surf. I say "attempting" because after nearly two decades I've only really mastered not falling off. My kids find it hilarious. Fair enough.

Cricket is the other thing that takes up more of my time than it probably should. I've been following the sport since I was a kid, and I still get unreasonably invested in Test matches. Planning a weekend around the MCG schedule is something I do without any shame whatsoever.

Got a tip on a promo code we're missing? Found one that's stopped working? Or just want to say g'day? I'd like to hear from you. You can reach me through the contact page.
